Speed Paints 8 (20)
This set collects speed paints done in august 2020. Also has the 100th speed paint for 2020. 🤘
I’m pretty happy with this set. There's a clearer focus on characters compared to the previous sets of the year and the colour palette is pretty fun. Prompts are from daily Spitpaint group on fb.
All that being said, I'm feeling a bit cautious about speed paints again. I can see and feel that the 30' time limit is driving me towards some bad habits again. It's not as visible as it was in the previous sets, but I see the repetitive patterns still.
Also, I’m starting to feel that the speed paints don’t really serve the actual skill of painting anymore, but rather the ideation phase. 🤔
Any thoughts & comments on this are welcome. It’s a fascinating topic.
